29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels had not been protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. On or about October 3, 2024, JG Contracting Services LLC did not ensure that nine employees installing gutters and re-roofing a low-slope roof of a commercial building at 804 Texas Court in O'Fallon, Missouri, had been protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.. The building was greater than 50 feet in width; therefore, a warning line system alone was inadequate to protect employees from fall hazards. REPEAT JG Contracting Services LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1529678, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 14, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1109 South Main Street in Washington, Illinois.
