29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. (a) On or about October 4, 2024, employees painting the exterior of a commercial building from a Genie Z-45 aerial lift, were not protected from an approximate 15-foot fall/thrown hazard on the west side of the building, and the employer did not ensure employees had been trained on the hazards associated with scaffold work.
