29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about August 30, 2024, employees who perform janitorial cleaning activities at 2223 County Road I, Crete, Nebraska were exposed to amputation hazards while sweeping the floor near the Bacon Press Machine conveyor belt due to an in-running nip point where the belt passes through the metal frame of the machine.
