29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.  (a) John J. Shonk Building Roof: On October 3, 2024, employees were performing roofing work on a commercial building. The employees were working directly on the edges installing the roofing drip edge/flashing and coping without a fall protection system in place, exposing the employees to falls of up to 24ft. 10in. to the ground.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s).  (a) 194 Summers Street Jobsite: On October 3, 2024 the employer failed to maintain the required safety data sheets at the jobsite for employees using Elevate UltraPly Bonding Adhesive and Weathered Membrane Cleaner, both classified as flammable, carcinogenic and skin and eye irritants.
