29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): The employer did not ensure exit routes were maintained free and unobstructed. Materials or equipment were placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route:  a) On or about 10/08/2024, in the Northwest corner of Elramida Holdings LLC. 56-15 55th Drive. Maspeth, N.Y.  Employees engaged in recycling activities were exposed to a delay in exiting the facility in the event of an emergency.  An emergency exit door route leading to the outside was obstructed by recycled company materials.  Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.

Employees working at a recycling facility were exposed to the transmission of communicable diseases due to lack of running water or tepid water for handwashing within the rest rooms facilities they utilized.
