29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) In the Laundry Room, on or about October 9, 2024 - Laundry Aides load containers of Ecolab Solid Surge Plus and Ecolab Low Temp Laundry Solid Chlorine Sanitizer into the washing machine dispenser. The employer did not provide a suitable facility for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes within the Laundry Room because there was an open trench that the washing machines drain into obstructing the path of travel which inhibits the immediate emergency use of the drench hose with eyewash attachment.
