29 CFR 1910.165(e): Manually operated actuation devices for use in conjunction with employee alarms were not unobstructed, conspicuous, and readily accessible: (a) On or about 10/09/2024, 361 Calle Juan Calaf, Hato Rey, PR 00919 - inbound/outbound sorting area, a manual fire alarm pull station was obstructed and not readily accessible due to being blocked by a tall mail cart, exposing employees to fire hazards. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: (a) On or about 10/09/2024, 361 Calle Juan Calaf, Hato Rey, PR 00919 - Sorting and Mailbox area - the exit route leading to the exit near the mailbox area was obstructed with multiple mail carts containing post office supplies and mail, exposing employees to fire hazard. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1532048, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 11/02/2022, with respect to a workplace located at USPS Catano DMDU. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c).
