29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): a) 3211 US-93 Kalispell, MT 59901: On or about October 8, 2024 and at times prior, employees were exposed to cave-in hazards while installing a new waterline in a trench that was approximately 7 feet 6 inches deep by 5 feet 2 inches wide. The gap between the boxes was approximately 4 feet wide between the 20 foot boxes giving the overall length of the trench to be approximately 44 feet.
