29 CFR 1910.1096(b)(1): The employer possessed, used, or transferred, sources of ionizing radiation in such a manner as to cause employees in a restricted area to receive in any period of one calendar quarter from sources in the employer's possession or control a dose in excess of the limits specified in Table G-18: a) Interventional Radiology- On or about October 21, 2024, employee records in the interventional radiology department show since 2022, there have been 23 instances where employees were exposed to ionizing radiation above the quarterly limit of 1.25 rems. Five employees were overexposed in the preceding quarters, with the most recent overexposure in the fourth quarter of 2024. Abatement certification and documentation required.
