29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) Temporary break area, Downtown Post Office, Louisville, KY: On or about 10/23/2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fire and electrical hazards, in that kitchen appliances, including a West Bend microwave, Farberware toaster oven, BUNN Pour-Omatic coffee maker, a generic electric can opener, and a Mainstays Electric Kettle were all plugged into a portable power tap. The amperage of these appliances exceeded the ampere ratings of the power tap and did not follow the instructions in the listing and labeling.
