29 CFR 1910.146(c)(8)(iv): When an employer arranged to have employees of another employer (contractor) perform work that involved permit space entry, the host employer did not coordinate entry operations with the contractor: a) 1035 Belleville Turnpike, Kearny, NJ-Portal North RR Bridge Replacement Project (Ballast Tanks-End of CAP 2 of Deck Spud Barge "SKANSKA 460012"): Employees of the contractor were required to enter a permit-required confined space (ballast tanks/Mid-body Compartment) that posed a hazardous atmosphere, to conduct visual internal inspections for damage and structural integrity. The host employer arranged for employees of the contractor to enter permit-required confined spaces, and the host employer did not coordinate entry operations with the contractor, on or about 10/29/24.
