29 CFR 1918.36: Removable weather deck rails shall be kept in place except when cargo operations require them to be removed, in which case they shall be replaced as soon as such cargo operations are completed. a) On or about October 30, 2024, employees were exposed to deck rails that were not adequate for employees working near them on the deck of a vessel, Chayanee Naree, located at a Cooper Consolidated LLC facility Mile 179 ship berth in Darrow, LA, starboard side area labeled pilot access point.

The employer shall eliminate conditions causing slippery walking and working surfaces in immediate areas used by employees. a) On or about October 30, 2024, employees were exposed to slippery walking and working surfaces on the deck of a vessel, Chayanee Naree, starboard side area labeled pilot access point. The vessel was located at a Cooper Consolidated LLC facility Mile 179 ship berth in Darrow, LA which had grain located on the deck surface.
