29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazards created by in-going nip points, rotating parts, and/or flying chips and sparks: Employees were exposed to amputation hazards. Employees engaged in operating AccurShear #2 to cut metal in the Shear Department located at 32050 West 63rd Street, DeSoto, Kansas were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the clamp down springs were not guarded to prevent the operator's finger from being amputated .
