29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). (a) On or about 11/04/2024, in the road, in front of 14 Sunrise Drive, Binghamton NY 13905; a 5 foot 9 inch deep trench had been excavated for the replacement of a watermain lateral. An employee working in the trench was not protected from a trench collapse by an adequate protective system, exposing the employee to a trench collapse or cave-in.
