OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees are exposed to struck by and crushing hazards from racking:  (a) 230 North College Street, Palmyra, PA; Warehouse cooler storage, single-tiered racking system(s) - On or about December 13, 2024, the load limit was not posted on the racks used to store 1,000 pound racks of finished product which exposed employees to a struck-by and crushing hazard.  (b) 230 North College Street, Palmyra, PA; Warehouse dry storage, two-tiered racking system(s) - On or about December 13, 2024, the load limit was not posted, the base plates were not anchored to the floor, and two different racking system were placed one in front of the other without being tied in with each other to form one continuous racking system.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Employees were exposed to evacuation hazard(s).   (b) 230 North College Street, Palmyra, PA; Smokehouse roof - On or about November 6, 2024, the exit route from the smokehouse roof to the roof stairwell was measured at 24 inches between the 12 smokehouses.
