29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(i): Portable cord and plug connected equipment and flexible cord sets (extension cords) were not visually inspected before use on any shift for external defects (such as loose parts, deformed and missing pins, or damage to outer jacket or insulation) and for evidence of possible internal damage (such as pinched or crushed outer jacket). On or about November 12, 2024, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure plugged connected electrical equipment was inspected for visual external defects in that, the manufacturers power cord to the Waxie Wet/Dry Blower(s) was missing a grounding pin and the Waring Commercial Heavy Duty Immersion Blender was not visually inspected for exposed wiring. This condition potentially exposed employees to electrical shock and/or fire hazards. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to electrical and/or fire hazard(s). In the following location(s): a) Environmental Service: Magic Chef Microwave, (1) Tennant T290 walk-behind scrubber, Two (2) Rubbermaid Commercial batteries. b) Chiller Room: (1) Tennant T290 walk-behind scrubber, Carpet Extractor, 464 Gansow Floor Sweeper.
