29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Site: 7 Beach Lane, Quogue, NY 11959. a. On or about 11/13/2024, an employee was removing sections of the roof on a single story residential building. The employee was not utilizing a means of fall protection and was exposed to falling approximately 8 ft to the ground below. b. On or about 11/14/2024, employees were framing the roof of a single story residential building. The employees were not utilizing a means of fall protection and were exposed to falling approximately 14 ft to the ground below. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):Employer did not provide fall protection training to those employees who might be exposed to a fall hazard. Site: 7 Beach Lane, Quogue, NY 11959 On or about 11/13/2024, Employees were exposed to falls while removing and replacing the roof and framing of a single story residential home. Employees were not trained to recognize hazards associated with falls. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
