29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee wore a protective helmet when working in areas where there was a potential for injury to the head from falling objects. On or about November 18, 2024, on the site's south side, employees performing arborol tasks on the ground were exposed to falling branches from the supervisor cutting a tree overhead. Cut Rite Tree Services was previously cited for violating this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent, 29 CFR 1910.67(c)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1583262, citation number 1, item number 3. The citation was affirmed as a final order on 04-21-2022 with respect to a workplace located at 14076 LA-44, GONZALES, LA 70737.
