29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Accident Prevention Responsibilities. Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. a) On November 15, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that frequent and regular inspections of the job site were conducted to identify and correct fall hazards. As a result, three employees, performed framing work on a newly constructed residential structure at a height of 13 feet without using a fall protection system, exposing them to a fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) On November 15, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that employees used a fall protection system while performing framing work on a newly constructed residential structure. Three employees, were exposed to a 13-foot fall hazard while installing structural components such as wall studs and trusses without guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems.
