29 CFR 1910.29(f)(7):Handrails and the top rails of stair rail systems were not capable of withstanding, without failure, a force of at least 200 pounds (890 N) applied in any downward or outward direction within 2 inches (5 cm) of any point along the top edge of the rail. a) On the hand rail of 3300 building of establishment: On or about November 19, 2024, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards in that the right hand rail of the 3300 building stair well was broken and unable to sustain a force of at least 200 lbs without failure while employees perform job duties. The height of a potential fall was greater than 6 feet.
