29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. a) Bumble Bee Foods, LLC - Label machines area: Employees were exposed to pinch points due to inadequate guarding on label machines, specifically the 8 oz Krones Labeler, Model # Canmatic K073, S/N 073-146. These pinch points are created by various moving parts, including bearings, pistons, tooling, and other components. Occurred on or about 11/18/2024. b) Bumble Bee Foods, LLC - Label machines area: Employees were exposed to pinch points due to inadequate guarding on label machines, specifically the 15 oz Krones Labeler., Model # Canmatic K073, S/N 73795. These pinch points are created by various moving parts, including bearings, pistons, tooling, and other components. Occurred on or about 11/18/2024.
