29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1):The employer permitted employees to work in close proximity to energized, unguarded, and ungrounded electric power circuits that the employees could contact in the course of their work: a) On or about November 20, 2024, at 830 Brickell Plaza, Miami, FL 33131, an electrician running a low voltage wiring to an AC unit was exposed to electrical shock and burn hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the equipment was tested, de-energized, guarded, and grounded to prevent accidental contact with 480/277 VAC energized parts. Or in the alternative: 29 CFR 1926.416(a)(3):The employer began work without determining if employees could contact any part of an energized circuit and did not post warning signs and advise employees of the location of the circuit, hazards, and protective measures they need to take. a) On or about November 20, 2024, at 830 Brickell Plaza, Miami, FL 33131, an electrician running a low voltage wiring to an AC unit was exposed to electrical shock and burn hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the equipment was tested, de-energized, guarded, and grounded to prevent accidental contact with 480/277 VAC energized parts.
