29 CFR 1910.37(b)(7):Each exit sign did not have the word "Exit" in plainly eligible letters not less than six inches (15.2 cm) high, with the principal strokes of the letters in the word "Exit" not less than three fourths of an inch (1.9 cm) wide: a) East Wall, 328 S. 2nd St., Millville, NJ: While working in a warehouse, employees were exposed to emergency egress hazards. The cover on an emergency exit sign was broken/missing which did not clearly enable employees from distinguishing the sign from a red light. Observed on or about 12/05/24 b) East Wall, 328 S. 2nd St., Millville, NJ: Employees were exposed to an additional emergency egress hazards. The light bulb in the exit sign was blown which did not illuminate the sign to allow the word "EXIT" to be clearly visible. Observed on or about 12/05/24 NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
