29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   a) On or about 12/04/2024, during the interior renovation of a commercial building located at 20 North Union Street, in Rochester, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of fall protection while employees were installing window framing on the second floor 16 feet above lower levels.  Employees were exposed to fall hazards,  where an unprotected window opening did not have guard rails installed with a top height between 39 to 42 inches from the floor surface.        NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
