Three appliances were plugged into a relocatable power tap (RPT) instead of into a grounded wall outlet:  1). A white Avanti microwave, model M01450TW, Serial No. A339131450817C0100159 2). A black keurig coffee machine 3). A Nespresso machine  Relocatable power taps (RPTs), also known as power strips, are not designed for use with higher amperage equipment such as coffee makers, refrigerators, or microwaves. Use of electrical equipment in a manner inconsistent with the listing and labeling can cause overheating or other electrical problems. This condition potentially exposed employees to electrical hazards.
