29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation:  (a) Second Level, Lot #1, Satilla Circle, Shelby, AL: On or about December 12, 2024, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the employees were wearing safety glasses while operating pneumatic nail guns on the second level at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below while employees were engaged in forming of the roof truss and rafters of the new residential home.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    (a) Second Level, Lot #1, Satilla Circle, Shelby, AL: On or about December 12, 2024, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the employees were wearing fall protection or installed guard rails around the unprotected sides and edges of the second level while performing framing activities at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
