29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: (a) Second Level, Lot #1, Satilla Circle, Shelby, AL: On or about December 12, 2024, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the employees were wearing safety glasses while operating pneumatic nail guns on the second level at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below while employees were engaged in forming of the roof truss and rafters of the new residential home. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
