29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: On or about December 11, 2024, and at times prior thereto, electrical equipment such as coffee makers, microwaves, and refrigerators were not used in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling. In the following locations: a) Main lobby, a DeLonghi coffee maker and crystal mountain water machine was plugged into a Belkin relocatable power tap. b) Employee Breakroom, General Electric Co microwave was plugged into a Belkin SurgeMaster relocatable power tap. c) IT closet, A triplite relocatable power tap model no. TLP606B was plugged into a Woods relocatable power tap model 6953 A1. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to electrical shock and/or fire hazard(s). U.S Department of Veteran Affairs was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1716623, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on February 1st, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 10535 Hospital Way Mather, CA 95655.
