29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2): Portable fire extinguishers were not visually inspected at least monthly: Throughout the facility, employees were potentially exposed to smoke inhalation and burn hazards where the employer did not inspect the portable fire extinguishers on a monthly basis. (a) Ansul Sentry Fire extinguisher outside the janitor's closet was last inspected in October 2024 (b) Ansul Sentry Fire extinguisher in the eyewash station area was last inspected in October 2024 (c) Dry Chemical Fire extinguisher mounted on Yale forklift (Serial #A969N04950V) was last inspected in October 2024. US Department of Defense- Defense Commissary Agency was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2) on February 12, 2024, which was contained in Inspection 1721405, Citation number 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 7, 2024, with respect to a workplace located in San Diego, CA.
