29 CFR 1910.266(h)(1)(vi): Each danger tree, including lodged trees and snags, were not felled or removed using mechanical or other techniques that minimize employee exposure before work is commenced in the area of the danger tree. a.) Edmund Burke, Inc. DBA Salem Hardwood, 41.46258, -80.02807, Carlton, PA 16311: On or about 12/04/2024 and at times prior thereto; employee did not keep a safe distance from an identified danger tree while performing logging operations. At first, the employee attempted to use manual means to fell a danger tree. Employee then proceeded to sharpen his chainsaw blade next to the danger tree when the tree fell striking the employee.
