29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about December 11, 2024, at 275 Springline Drive, Naples, FL 34102, employees painting wood trim from a ladder on top of the roof were exposed to fall hazards, in that, the employer did not ensure that personal fall arrest systems were in use to prevent falls from a 16 ft. elevation to ground level. Or in the alternative: 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about December 11, 2024, at 275 Springline Drive, Naples, FL 34102, employees painting wood trim from a ladder on top of the roof were exposed to fall hazards, in that, the employer did not ensure that personal fall arrest systems were in use to prevent falls from a 16 ft. elevation to ground level.
