29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1):Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: Building 1342, Heavy Duty Repair Shop, Ridgecrest, CA: On December 03, 2024, an exit door under the control of another employer in building 1342, but nonetheless accessible to J&J employees working there, was equipped with an older model non-key ?latch? deadbolt and also the need to turn a round knob to open the door. This specific combination of elements at the door could delay the ability to exit this door in the event of a fire and/or emergency incident, thus potentially exposing employees to fire and other hazards should these specific elements of the door impede their exit.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii):Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed: Building 1342, Heavy Duty Repair Shop, Ridgecrest, CA: On or about December 03, 2024, the north-wall panel box located near the entry of the facility had an unused openings that was not effectively closed - a knock-out was missing. Used for powering the office, swamp cooler, fire suppression system (etc.) if dust/debris were to collect in the unit employees could potentially be exposed to arcing, or other electrical hazards.
