29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). a) Jobsite located at or near 561 Bair Road, Berwyn, PA 19312- On or about December 19, 2024, the employer did not ensure that each employee in an excavation was protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system. Employees were performing excavation to perform underground work within the excavation measuring approximately 9 feet deep without the use of shoring or other protective system, thereby exposing employees to cave-in hazards. b) Jobsite located at or near 545 Bair Road, Berwyn, PA 19312- On or about December 19, 2024, the employer did not ensure that each employee in an excavation was protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system. Employees were performing excavation to perform underground work within the excavation measuring approximately 5 feet deep without the use of shoring or other protective system, thereby exposing employees to cave-in hazards.
