29 CFR 1926.34(b):"Exit marking." Exits shall be marked by a readily visible sign. Access to exits shall be marked by readily visible signs in all cases where the exit or way to reach it is not immediately visible to the occupants. a) On or about 12/20/2024, during construction of the Edwards Vacuum Manufacturing Complex, employees were allowed to conduct construction activities throughout the building while designated exits were not marked and visible signs were not posted to identify directions leading to escape routes in cases of emergencies or fires. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.34(c): "Maintenance and workmanship." Means of egress were not continually maintained free of all obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency. a) On or about 12/20/2024, during construction of the Edwards Vacuum Manufacturing Complex, the employer did not enforce safe measures to allow for a free and unobstructed egress from all parts of the building. Employees were allowed to conduct construction activities throughout the building, where an exit between columns D11 and D3.11 was obstructed by a space heater and fuel hose. Employees were exposed to fire and smoke hazards from obstructed egress. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
