Maumee, OH: The employer failed to adequatly train employee(s) on electrical safe work practices prior to job assignment. Employees tasked with tree removal duties in proximity of 7200v overhead powerlines, without the benefit of this training were exposed to electrocution/electric shock hazards.

29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(i)(A)(1): When an unqualified person was working in an elevated position near overhead lines with voltages to ground rated at 50 kV or below, the location was as such that the person and the longest conductive object he or she could contact came closer than 10 ft. (305 cm) to any unguarded, energized overhead line: a) Sidonian Enterprises LLC. on or about November 6, 2024, at the worksite located at 1412 Bradshaw Ct. Maumee, OH 43537: The employer failed to ensure unqualified employee(s) were kept from coming closer than 10ft to 7200v overhead powerlines. An employee tasked with tree removal from an aerial device in proximity of the energized line(s) was exposed to electric shock/electrocution hazards.
