29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. a) At the jobsite, 301 Park Ave, New York, N.Y., in the catwalk area above the Grand Ballroom of the jobsite: On or about January 2, 2025, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard, which a ceiling sheetrock panel was unable to support his body weight exerted on it and collapsed. The employee was not instructed on the hazards of walking/working on the ceiling area of the Grand Ballroom and avoidance of the collapse and fall hazard. The employee was exposed to falling approximately 45 feet to the lower level.
