29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(2)(ii)(A): Building and/or facility owners failed to notify prospective employers applying for or bidding for work whose employees can reasonably be expected to work in or adjacent to areas containing asbestos containing material or presumed asbestos containing material of the presence, location and quantity: (a) Former Hotel Property at 677 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 - On or about December 20th, 2024, the building owner did not notify the prospective employers of Burdi Custom Builders Inc. and Concrete Construction Company of the presence, location, quantity of asbestos containing materials prior to accepting a bid, and allowing the performance of demolition activities. Concrete Construction Company proceeded with the demolition of and subsequent removal of floor tile, sheet vinyl, mastic, window glazing, and duct material, which contained up to 60% chrysotile asbestos. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
