29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips, and sparks:   On or about January 6, 2025, employees conducted machining operations using unguarded lathes.  1. In Building #3, Cut Master 64", the Bullard vertical lathe (BUL-64TB-1) lacked guards on the rotating areas and at the point of operation, exposing operators to amputation hazards.  2. The belt and pully system behind the chuck area is open, and there is no guard at the point of operation. 3. The Building 6 Horizontal Lathe MZ-24-4 Yamazaki did not have chuck guards during operations.  4. The Building 6 Kingston Heavy Duty Horizontal Lathe lacked a chuck guard at both the point of operation and the chuck area.
