29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, in-going nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: 69 Talcott Road, West Hartford: On or about January 6, 2025, the employer had not ensured that employees operating the Model 1250 Blacks Creek Firewood processor were protected from pinch point hazards created by an unguarded point of operation, which led to an employee experiencing an amputation.
