29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, debris was not kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures.  Site: 61-11 166 Street, Flushing, NY 11358. a). On or about January 13, 2025, THC Construction employees working from the second-floor story of a residential home construction doing framing were exposed to slip and fall hazards due to passageways and work areas being accumulated with construction debris such as scrap lumber, protruding nails, and dust.  Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501.  Site: 61-11 166 Street, Flushing, NY 11358. a). On or about January 13, 2025, THC Construction employees installing plywood on the roof of a new residential home construction approximately 30 ft above the ground level were not protected from falling by the use of a fall protection system.  Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail and one stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge.  Site: 61-11 166 Street, Flushing, NY 11358. a). On or about January 13, 2025, THC Construction employees that were engaged in new residential home construction were exposed to an 8 ft fall hazard from an unprotected side/edges of a staircase that was missing handrails.   Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
