29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. a. On or about January 14, 2025 , at the worksite: employees were exposed to amputation hazards, in that the Accupress (model # 717512, SN # 3064) used to bend metal was not properly guarded. b. On or about January 14, 2025 , at the worksite: employees were exposed to amputation hazards, in that the blade of the vertical bandsaw used to cut pieces of metal was not guarded. c. On or about January 14, 2025 , at the worksite: employees were exposed to amputation hazards, in that the Snap Lock machine (model High Speed 20 Ga., SN # 1S872422) used to bend metal was not properly guarded.
