29 CFR 1910.141(a)(3)(i): The employer did not ensure places of employment were kept clean to the extent that the nature of the work allowed: (a)Dakota Plains Legal Services, Inc. at 30229 East U.S. Highway 18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770: On or about and at times prior to January 15, 2025, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from exposure to zoonotic diseases in that rodent fecal matter was present in the kitchen filing cabinet area. This condition exposed employees to health hazards. (b)Dakota Plains Legal Services, Inc. at 30229 East U.S. Highway 18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770: On or about and at times prior to January 15, 2025, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from exposure to zoonotic diseases in that rodent fecal matter was present in the north Paralegal Office. This condition exposed employees to health hazards. (c)Dakota Plains Legal Services, Inc. at 30229 East U.S. Highway 18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770: On or about and at times prior to January 15, 2025, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from exposure to zoonotic diseases in that rodent fecal matter was present in the Managing Attorney Office. This condition exposed employees to health hazards.

This condition exposed employees to health hazards associated with rodent fecal matter and the constant presence of live and dead rodents.
