29 CFR 1910.264(d)(2)(i)(a):Operating Rules, Mechanical, Safety Guards. No safeguard, safety appliance, or device attached to, or forming an integral part of any machinery shall be removed or made ineffective except for the purpose of making immediate repairs or adjustments. Any such safeguard, safety appliance, or device removed or made ineffective during the repair or adjustment of such machinery shall be replaced immediately upon the completion of such repairs or adjustments. a) On January 23, 2025, the employer did not ensure the drive belt and drive chain located on the idler pulley wheel known to the employer as the "dryer puppy system", were guarded on the Huebsch Originators 30 dryer. b) On January 23, 2025, the employer did not ensure the drive belts located on the idler pulley wheel, were guarded on the UniMacOpti dryer.
