29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. *A suitable eye wash must meet the minimum criteria as defined by ANSI/ISEA Z358.1. a) Firearms Building located at FLETC in Cheltenham, MD: on or about December 23, 2024, the employer did not have an eyewash station where employees are required to transfer D-Lead All Purpose Cleaner, which contains potassium hydroxide and is corrosive from a 55-gallon drum to a bucket.

29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead. a) Firearms Building located at FLETC Cheltenham, in Cheltenham, MD - On or about December 23, 2024, wipe samples were taken of various surfaces within fire ranges 3, 5 and 6 where the fire ranges had been in use. The employees are responsible for cleaning the firing ranges after live exercises are completed. The wipe sample results ranged ranged from 27 - 573 micrograms of lead. b) Firearms Building located at FLETC Cheltenham, in Cheltenham, MD - On or about February 5, 2025 wipe samples were taken of various surfaces within fire ranges 5 and 7 where the fire ranges had been in use. The employees are responsible for cleaning the firing ranges after live exercises are completed. The wipe results ranged from 24.6 - 1857.3 micrograms of lead. c) Firearms Building located at FLETC Cheltenham, in Cheltenham, MD - On or about April 3, 2025 wipe samples were taken of various surfaces within fire ranges 1, 2, 4 and 7 where the fire ranges had been in use. The employees are responsible for cleaning the firing ranges after live exercises are completed. The wipe results ranged from 18.9 - 1120 micrograms of lead.
