29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by pinch points.  a) 52 Hess Road LEOLA, PA 17540 - employees were operating a Cincinnati 25 shear (2510 SHEAR, number 35478) that did not have guarding to protect employees from pinch point and caught between hazards created by the material hold downs during the operating cycle, on or about January 30, 2025.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.  a) 52 Hess Road LEOLA, PA 17540 - The compressed air blow guns used to clean metal shavings from, but not limited to, various CNC machines, was not reduced to 30 psi, on or about January 30, 2025.  b) 52 Hess Road LEOLA, PA 17540 - The compressed air blow guns used to clean metal shavings from, but not limited to, various CNC machines, was not equipped with a relief device to reduce the air pressure to less than 30 psi if the nozzle was dead-ended, on or about January 30, 2025.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
