29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: (a) Roof, Lot #28, Dawson Lane NE, Cullman, AL 35058: On or about January 29, 2025, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that the employees were wearing safety glasses while operating pneumatic nail guns on the 8/12 pitch roof at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below while employees were engaged in framing the new residential home. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
