29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: (a) Roof, 25540 Gray Stone Drive, Madison, AL: On or about January 29, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that the employees did not recognize fall hazards while engaged in shingle installation activities on the 10/12 pitch residential roof with unguarded edges/sides at heights 6 feet and greater to the ground below. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
