29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: Production Area: On, or about, January 31, 2025, employees were working around machines that had rotating parts and generated metal chips and also used compressed air for cleaning. Several employees were wearing eyewear such as reading glasses that did not meet safety standards and that did not provide side protection.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by in-running nip points and rotating parts: Production Area: On, or about, January 31, 2025, adequate machine safeguarding was not provided on the following machines: A. CNC #19, a VX400 vertical milling machine: The interlock provided on the front access door had been disabled. B. Burr King Model 760 belt grinder: In-running nip points created by the grinding belt and drive pulleys were not guarded.
