29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:   (a) The employer did not ensure that the auger of the company's CME 75 truck was effectively guarded. On January 30, 2024, an employee in the process of attempting to remove soil  away from the auger  was fatally injured when his clothing was caught by/pulled into the spinning auger.  Employees were not protected from caught-by/entanglement hazards at the point of operation.
