29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Facial hair that comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interferes with valve function; On or about February 6, 2025, an employee working in the spray booths that is required to wear a tight-fitting respirator was not clean shaven and had facial hair that could compromise the seal and potentially expose them to paint solvents. The employer did not ensure their employees, required to wear a tight-fitting respirator, did not have facial hair that could compromise the seal. This item was corrected during inspection.
