29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): The design and use of all traffic control devices, including signs, signals, markings, barricades, and other devices, for the protection of construction workers shall conform to Part 6 of the MUTCD (incorporated by reference, see � 1926.6). a) On or about February 5, 2025, the employer, Prus Construction Company, failed to ensure that employees working in and around a trench less than 10 feet from an active roadway were adequately protected from road users by effectively implementing and verifying a temporary traffic control plan consistent with Part 6 of the MUTCD, as a result employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from vehicular traffic.
